Privacy Policy

Through this notice, the FUNDACIÓN EMPRESA UNIVERSIDAD GALLEGA – hereinafter FEUGA – informs USERS of the platform www.olivebiome.es (hereinafter, the PLATFORM) about its personal data protection policy, so that USERS may freely and voluntarily decide whether they wish to provide FEUGA with any personal data that may be requested or obtained from them when registering for or subscribing to any of the services offered on or through the PLATFORM.

The applicable regulations establish a series of obligations and also define the rights of individuals in relation to the protection of personal data. In order to fully understand and, if applicable, exercise any of these rights, USERS are advised to carefully read this notice.

FEUGA reserves the right to modify this notice in order to adapt it to legislative or jurisprudential changes, as well as to industry practices. In such cases, USERS will be informed in advance of any changes to the data protection policy and the date on which these changes will take full effect.

The only personal data to which FEUGA will have access are those provided voluntarily by the USER. In this regard, the USER should be aware that in order to register and access the PLATFORM, they will be asked to provide personal data. Some of this data will be strictly necessary to access the PLATFORM and use specific services or content. Therefore, in the cases expressly indicated to the USER, failure to provide such data will result in the inability to access or use certain services or content.

The personal data provided by the USER will only be subject to automated processing and may only be disclosed in the manner and for the purposes expressly authorized by the USER. To this end, the data will be included in a file owned and managed by FEUGA.

The purpose of collecting, processing, and disclosing the USER’s personal data is to support all activities related to the PLATFORM and, in particular, the management, development, administration, provision, updating, personalization, and improvement of the services and content used by the USER, as well as the statistical analysis of such use, including user preferences and interests.

As part of the above-mentioned purposes, USERS may receive, via various channels, surveys, information, notifications, etc. related to OLIVEBIOME, its services and content, and the companies that provide them through the PLATFORM. Sending such surveys and forms to USERS does not imply any obligation or commitment on the part of the USER to respond.

The legal basis for processing personal data includes FEUGA’s legitimate interest (in sending communications about the foundation’s activities and the operation of the website and its applications), the performance or subscription of services (including related operations such as payments and billing), and the specific consent given by the USER (which may be withdrawn at any time, although this would prevent further processing). User information may also be used to comply with FEUGA’s legal obligations.

In accordance with applicable legislation, FEUGA has adopted the technical and organizational measures necessary to maintain the required level of security for the personal data it processes. FEUGA has also implemented measures within its capabilities to prevent, as far as possible, unauthorized access, data theft, illegal modification, and data loss. However, USERS are hereby informed that no system is completely secure or impenetrable, and therefore FEUGA cannot be held responsible for such incidents.

The USER has the recognized rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, which may be exercised by written request to: FEUGA, Rúa Lope Gómez de Marzoa s/n (Campus Vida), 15705 Santiago de Compostela, Spain; or by email to: feuga@feuga.es, clearly indicating in either case: Privacy Policy, and attaching a copy of their national ID document.

Whenever personal data is requested from the USER through the PLATFORM, access will be provided to the relevant information contained in this Privacy Policy.

Data will be retained for as long as necessary for the provision of the services contracted or subscribed to. Regarding communications about OLIVEBIOME’s activities, data will be retained until the USER requests to stop receiving them (which can be done by sending a message to feuga@feuga.es).

For specific operations, such as registering for courses, scholarships, or other training activities, explicit consent will be required for data processing. This will be done by checking the corresponding box in the relevant form.

Consent may be withdrawn at any time by sending a message to feuga@feuga.es. In addition, USERS may file a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority (in Spain, the Spanish Data Protection Agency – AEPD) if they believe their data is being processed inappropriately.
